Buying and placing GMEs

Club One (SA) Limited is the only buyer and placement organisation of Gaming Machine Entitlements (GMEs) in South Australia. Placing GMEs with other clubs and hotels is the only way Club One can raise funds to disperse to the community through its Major Sponsorship Projects (up to $10,000 and made twice yearly) and its Small Sponsorships (up to $500 and made every one to two months).

It buys GMEs from “vesting clubs”, and places the “vested machines” with host clubs, or “parks” GMEs on a short-term basis with other clubs or hotels.

Club One (SA) Limited cannot sell GMEs as it effectively holds the GMEs in trust for the State’s club sector.

Become a vesting club

Club One (SA) Limited seeks GMEs from existing clubs that hold a Gaming Machine Licence.

It purchases these GMEs for a lump sum or offers selling clubs an income stream (such as an annuity).
Club One (SA) Limited offers attractive prices that, for many clubs, will exceed their existing gaming machine returns.
Importantly, vesting with Club One (SA) Limited removes from clubs the obligation to comply with a Gaming Machine Licence.

Please contact the Club One (SA) Limited Executive Officer, Michael Keenan if you wish to learn more about opportunities for becoming a Vesting Club.

As of January 31, 2010, Club One (SA) Limited had passed the milestone of holding just over 200 GMEs.

Hosting Clubs

Club One (SA) Limited allocates the GMEs it holds to clubs that are already successful gaming venues, thus generating greater returns to the club industry.

It is particularly interested in allocating these GMEs to establishments that have state-of-the-art facilities, and which use best management procedures.

Please contact Club One (SA) Limited Executive Officer, Michael Keenan if you wish to learn more about opportunities for becoming a Hosting Club.

Short term parking

From time to time, Club One (SA) Limited has a limited number of GMEs available on a short-term basis.

Applicant hotels or clubs must provide the physical gaming machine and incur all incidental costs including (but not limited to) all taxes.

Club One (SA) Limited cannot provide the applicant with any guarantee beyond a three month initial contract period as to the number of months the GMEs will be made available.

Those interested in licensing GMEs by short term parking should contact Club One (SA) Limited Executive Officer, Michael Keenan who will explain the requirements for parking.
